SafeMeasures is a web service for local departments of social services (LDSS). The service extracts data from OASIS every night and arranges it into reports that highlight Division of Family Services critical outcomes and other process measures that are important to improving child welfare practice at the local level. SafeMeasures not only allows local users to view their agency's performance as a whole across all measures, but also allows for breakdown by supervisors, individual workers, and finally the individual client.
SafeMeasures satisfies the long-standing requests of LDSS for greater access to the data that they document in OASIS. With its ease of use and powerful reporting capabilities, Safe Measures not only makes that data available but enhances it significantly. Safe Measures is intended for localities to use as part of their own efforts to improve quality and performance. SafeMeasures was initially provided to the state for SFY 2010-2011 through a generous grant from Casey Family Programs. The contract has been renewed for calendar year 2011 with state funding. Our continued use of the tool supports the renewal of the contract.
